I enjoy watching The O.C. The characters are great, especially Ryan, Marissa & Seth. The only thing I dislike about the show is that it can be rather annoying when there are love triangles that take a long time to resolve.
What I think of the characters so far:
Ryan - Seemingly calm and cool, but can be impulsive at times
Seth - The joker; does things without thinking of the consequences
Marissa - Always wants to help others, but can't help herself
Summer - Sensitive; demanding
Trey - Dark and brooding; impulsive
Sandy Cohen - Humorous, sensible, good natured, a little insensitive at times
Kirsten - Sensitive, indecisive, self-conscious
[spoiler]Trey, why? How could you kiss Marissa?! Obviously Marissa's with Ryan. Thank goodness Marissa whacked Trey in the head. He really ought to straighten his mind. I hate Trey for lying to Ryan that Marissa was the one who started the "incident".[/spoiler]
Seth is the funniest character in The OC. Even when he does something wrong, he just keeps cracking me up.
Sandy's cool. He's probably the best father you could ever have. And another thing, thank goodness Caleb's dead. I hate that guy.
Theresa's back. She's kind-hearted though. But I suspect another Marissa-Ryan-Theresa love triangle. Bleah.
It's a pity Marissa died in a car accident, and in Ryan's arms, in the season finale. In the new season, new characters slowly phase out the core characters as they graduate & move on to the university.
I don't really like the idea of Caitlin & Taylor becoming the core characters. The show doesn't seem complete without the original four.  Too bad the show ain't as good as when it first started.

OMG. I love the series and the characters. The finale was so sad that it made me cry so many times. Unlike many other HK cop series that has happy endings, this one ended on a patriotic, serious and sombre note.
The flashback montages really brings out all the experiences they have gone through and brings out the meaning of hard work and sacrifice.
Salutes to Li-Sir, Qu-Sir, Mdm Gao & the A-squad.
